General Information
Social Events:
All Full-Conference Registrants are encouraged to attend the social events that are scheduled every evening, including our popular Thursday night Exhibit Fair and Strolling Dinner, our elegant Friday night dinner dance, and a variety of sponsored receptions. Some sponsorships may still be available.
Badges:
Badges are required for all attendees and guests and are mandatory for admission to
all events for which you are registered. Please check in and pick up conference badges for yourself and your guest immediately upon arrival. The full-conference or one-day/one-event badges will admit you to all conference and social events for which you are registered.
Attire:
Dress for the conference is business casual except for the Friday Night Gala where a "dress
to impress" atmosphere prevails.
Private Hospitality Events:
No hospitality event or other activity may be scheduled at the Conference without the express permission of CAPG. Any such scheduling will result in cancellation of the event and forfeiture of any deposits for food and beverage orders.
Cancellations:
Sponsorship and Exhibitor cancellations received in writing by April 21, 2011 will be subject to a $500 fee, and separate attendee registration cancellations will be subject to a $50 fee. Conference refunds cannot be issued after April 21, 2011, or given to registrants who do not attend.
The Americans with Disabilities Act and Special Meal Requirements:
We make every effort to accommodate the needs of our conference attendees and registered guests. If you require any of the auxiliary services identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act or if you have special dietary requirements, please e-mail Lura Hawkins at lhawkins@capg.org.
Family Program Information:
For Spouses and Non-Industry/Adult Guests we offer full conference pass ($325 each); Thursday or Friday full-day pass ($225 each); and Thursday or Friday night only pass ($125 each). Your pass will entitle you to all meals, general sessions and evening events for the date and period for which your pass covers. The Friday Spouse/Adult Guest Program is available to full conference and Friday full day-pass attendees only. Please note that a Conference primary registrant may only purchase a single Spouse/Non-Industry Adult Guest pass.
Babysitting, Youth Programs and Teen Parties are offered at various times on Thursday and Friday ($50 per child per session). Please visit the Register Now page to ensure your space.
- Babysitting: We offer babysitting for children six months to three years of age during the same hours as the youth programs listed below. Meals are provided.
- Youth Program: Children ages 4-11 will enjoy supervised activities, optional in-the-pool play, Nintendo Wii games, and an amazing Thursday and Friday night dance party. Meals are included.
Session 1: Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Session 2: Thursday 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Session 3: Friday 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Session 4: Friday 6:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
- Teen Party: For ages 12-16, it's a hip and happenin' party on Thursday and Friday night. Teen-friendly choices include dancing to a DJ, karaoke, Nintendo Wii games, and just kicking back with friends. Meals are included.
Session 2: Thursday 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Session 4: Friday 6:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Hotel Information:
The Conference will take place at the beautiful Desert Springs JW Marriott at 74855 Country Club Drive, Palm Desert, California. A special $309 CAPG rate, excluding taxes and surcharges, is offered on a first-come-first-served basis. To ensure your space and rate, please submit the hotel request during the registration process by April 8, 2011.
Third Party Billing:
The Marriott Hotel requires that a Third Party Billing Request form be completed if you wish to charge multiple rooms to a single corporate or personal credit card or if the name of the occupant differs from the name on the credit card. Though you may reserve any number of rooms with one credit card, the payment for those rooms will be charged to the occupant unless the Marriott has the Third Party Billing Request form, along with required identification, on file.
